Heard some buzz about Washboard Chaz, so I’d probably start off there at the Blues tent. A tough early afternoon in store with Marcia Ball, Charmaine Neville, and Dirty Dozen/Rebirth in hot competition. Later Kermit Ruffins, then cap off the day with Poncho Sanchez.

Well I hear there’s going to be a bad (good) weekend concert in Chattanooga. It’s outside, it’s got beer, it’s got local bands, and it’s free. Setup by Hellcat, who is really, sincerely interested in bringing attention to Chattanooga’s music. If you’re already in Chattanooga, or if you’re close enough to drive, you should just go, cuz it’s free. Damn.
